The problem with representing troopers, local police officers, firefighters, and EMT's for DUI's is keeping your name out of the 6 o'clock news. If you were arrested for a DUI on a slow news day, you stand a chance of being "outed". Otherwise, once 48 hours elapses, you are probably safe.

The next problem we will have is getting you back into the cruiser, the ambulance, or the fire truck. We have to find a way to get your license back ASAP.

Finally, you may have to pull some light duty or work "40's" to keep your job and money coming in the door until we can get you driving again. Talk to your union representative, your sergeant or your captain if you have confidence that they will help you.
